Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain enterprise‑grade network infrastructure in alignment with organizational strategy and industry best practices.
* Administer network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network management systems.
* Monitor network performance, capacity, and reliability; proactively identify, analyze, and remediate issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
* Develop, document, and enforce network standards, policies, procedures, and configuration baselines.
* Implement and manage network security controls, including access control, segmentation, intrusion detection, and incident response coordination.
* Perform root‑cause analysis for complex network incidents and lead resolution efforts within defined service level agreements.
* Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions with minimal operational impact.
* Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, cloud, and application teams to support integrated technology solutions.
* Provide expert‑level technical guidance and escalation support to operations and service desk teams.
* Manage vendor relationships, evaluate technologies, and oversee procurement and lifecycle management of network assets.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements through accurate documentation and reporting.
* Prepare and maintain detailed network diagrams, inventories, and operational records.
* Participate in on‑call rotations and support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
Location and Contract
* Location – Canberra
* Australian Citizens with TSVP Clearance
* Length of Contract: 12 months

* SFIA Skill Code – Network design (NTDS) – L4
