Wood is seeking expressions of interest for a Turnaround Planning Superintendent with Power Industry experience to work in central Queensland for a potential start in February 2027.
The Turnaround Planning Superintendent will provide leadership to the workforce and on-site teams whilst building strong relationships with the client and delivering against contract KPI’s and business objectives whilst driving continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for leading the delivery of mechanical planning, estimating and work packing for a key Turnaround, including the performance of the team to deliver support enabling the effective delivery of work for the contract. Your role will be responsible for assuring that our work processes and structure are aligned to best practice to achieve our business outcomes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Scope of Work
Participation in the effective planning, scheduling and coordination of turnaround scope activities across site, completing work as required and ensuring turnaround objectives are met within the required time-frames Ensuring duties are performed in line with both Wood’s and clients’ HSE programs Delivering against contract KPIs and business objectives Foster and maintain a collaborative, high-performing and client-oriented culture of safety, continuous improvement and effectively lead clients’ workforce to support delivery of the contract’s strategic objectives Understand, work to and ensure the compliance with the clients’ Permit to Work System Management of specialist services contractors to deliver services as required Turnaround management experience in a similar role within either petroleum, chemical or power station industries Proven ability to influence and mentor others in HSE principles and behaviours Proven ability to lead work teams and operate at multiple levels and disciplines Customer service skills - able to deliver services that are responsive to business needs and valued by our customers Ability to constructively work across all site departments Strong understanding of safety regulations and policies Ability to plan and prioritise work and work to set deadlines Good written and verbal communication skills Financial awareness and where required the ability to manage budgets
Qualifications
What makes you remarkable?
Relevant experience and knowledge in a similar / equivalent role Proven experience working on Turnarounds, specifically with mechanical type contracts Major Hazard Facility or Oil and Gas experience preferred, ideally with some exposure to working in remote locations.
