The role of Field Service Manager involves overseeing the operational activities of a team within a designated geographical area. Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of technicians and controllers to achieve operational excellence.
* Ensure booking, scheduling, and allocation of services are conducted professionally and in accordance with Australian Standards and company policies.
* Optimize labor utilization and ensure timely closure of completed jobs.
* Support complex job orders in conjunction with the Team Leader.
* Plan and coordinate training for the field service team.
* Develop and monitor individual performance targets, conduct performance appraisals as required.
* Manage and approve timesheets within the time and attendance system.
Requirements
* Trade qualification in heavy plant, motor mechanic, auto electrics, or similar fields.
* Extensive experience as a technician in the material handling industry or similar industries.
* Comprehensive product knowledge with the ability to provide and understand technical explanations.
* Strong leadership and management skills, including experience leading teams, mentoring, and guiding teams to achieve outcomes.
* Advanced communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* High-level computer literacy, utilizing business software applications and service operations components of ERP systems.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
