Well established Darwin based company seeks a talented IT Services Manager. Will manage team of 7 Network Engineers and Tech Support professionals. Will ensure the stability, security, resilience, and continuous improvement of entire IT operation. Report directly to CIO.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Own day‑to‑day operation of infrastructure, networks, platforms, end‑user services, and the ITService Desk• Ensure availability, reliability, performance, and core IT services across multiple locations.• Provide operational reporting, insights, and recommendations to the CIO re: Cyber Security. • Embed secure‑by‑design and secure‑by‑default practices across operational technology, cloudservices, platforms, and endpoints.• Lead operational response to cyber events, including containment, eradication, recovery, andpost‑incident analysis.• Oversee on‑premises and Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and performance.• Lead a high‑performing Service Desk delivering responsive, customer‑focused support.• Drive consistent user experience and service quality across all locations.• Manage third‑party vendors, ensuring adherence to SLAs and performance.• Lead, coach, and develop IT operations teams to build capability and accountability.• Prepare and present operational performance, risk, and incident reports to the CIO.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• 10+ years of experience in IT operations management.• Proven experience designing, implementing and supporting core technologies including Azure,M365, Fortinet, Jira, Confluence, and Citrix.• Experience managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure and networks across geographicallydispersed locations, ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance.• Experience ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery readiness, including backup,failover and incident response planning and testing.• Experience coordinating vendors and managed service providers, ensuring contractual, security,and performance obligations are met.• Proven experience implementing and maturing IT service management practices across incident,problem and change management, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.• Demonstrated capability leading, coaching, and developing multidisciplinary IT teams (platform,network, cyber, support) to build accountability and operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering. • Qualifications in Project Management frameworks ( PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster) ispreferable.• Qualifications in Incident/Problem/Change Management frameworks (e.g. ITIL, TQM or ISO9000, Six Sigma) is a plus. • Qualifications in Cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AZ-500, security-focused vendorqualifications) is a plus.
