About the Role

As an IT Support Officer, you will be part of the Service Delivery team providing technical support to staff across HNELHD, helping ensure reliable ICT systems that support safe and effective patient care.

The role provides onsite ICT field support across hospitals and community facilities and supports the End User Computing (EUC) environment. It delivers Level 2 support for incidents and service requests escalated from the Statewide Service Desk, including troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, identity and access, and clinical workstation connectivity.

You will:

* Provide customer-focused ICT support to end users via phone, remote tools and onsite assistance, resolving incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Record, track and manage incidents and service requests using approved service management systems, ensuring accurate documentation and updates.
* Install, configure, maintain and repair ICT equipment including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and communications equipment.
* Support Microsoft operating systems and associated software environments used across the organisation.
* Provide onsite desk-side support across hospitals and community facilities, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software faults.
* Perform Level 2 troubleshooting for incidents and service requests escalated from the Service Desk.
* Assist with endpoint provisioning and configuration within the End User Computing (EUC) environment.
* Escalate complex technical issues to senior technical teams where required and assist with resolution.
* Provide advice and recommendations on appropriate technology solutions and improvements.
* Collaborate with other ICT teams and external vendors to support effective service delivery and incident resolution.
* Provide support to remote and regional sites as required across the health district.

About You

You are a motivated ICT professional who enjoys solving technical problems and delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment. You take a practical and proactive approach to support, communicate clearly with end users, and work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues and improve services.

You will bring:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
* Proven experience supporting end-user technology and endpoint devices within a complex ICT environment.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, desktop environments and associated applications.
* Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral devices across desktop and mobile platforms.
* Understanding of Incident, Change and Problem Management processes aligned to ITIL practices.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical users.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks in a high-volume support environment.
* A current NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across the district as required.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to continuous service improvement.
