Senior Electrical Engineer - Switchboard Manufacturing

We are entering a significant growth phase and are strengthening our engineering capability to support an expanding national and regional project pipeline. This is a key appointment within our switchboard manufacturing division.
The Opportunity
This is not a back office design role. You will take ownership of electrical design outcomes across custom and modular switchboards and switch rooms, while influencing standards, processes and technical performance across the business.
Working closely with Project Managers, procurement and workshop teams, you will ensure designs are commercially sound, compliant and deliverable. You will also play an active role in mentoring junior engineers and lifting overall design capability.
Your scope will include:
* Leading electrical design for custom and modular LV and HV switchboards and switch rooms
* Providing technical direction to project, procurement and manufacturing teams
* Driving compliance with AS3000, AS61439, AS2067 and relevant legislation
* Managing design budgets, schedules and documentation standards
* Supporting continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an engineer who combines strong technical capability with commercial awareness and leadership maturity.
* Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
* Proven experience designing modular switchboards and sheet metal manufacturing drawings
* Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and LV and HV equipment
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design toolsets
* Confident communicator who can lead internally and interface effectively with stakeholders
* Full Australian working rights
