The opportunity.
You'll own the day-to-day operations of a busy palletised express depot—driving safety, service, and efficiency while leading a large, diverse team. You`ll be the person who keeps everything moving: freight, people, and performance.
Working closely with the Branch Manager, you'll play a key role in lifting standards, improving outcomes, and creating a culture where accountability and teamwork thrive.
What you'll be trusted to lead
* Oversee end-to-end site operations across inbound, outbound, fleet, and contractor management
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of 40+ across operations and frontline leadership
* Drive performance across service, cost, and operational KPIs
* Embed a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance across WHS, NHVAS, fatigue, and DG
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and site performance
* Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and the local community
About you
You're a hands‐on operational leader who knows how to get the best out of people and processes.
You're just as comfortable on the floor as you are reviewing performance metrics—and you don't wait for problems to escape before acting. You bring energy, accountability, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement and team success.
What you bring
* Proven experience leading transport, warehouse, or depot operations
* Strong leadership capability with a focus on safety, engagement, and performance
* Solid understanding of transport compliance and operational processes
* Experience managing budgets, rosters, and KPIs in a fast‐paced environment
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence across all levels
* A proactive, solutions‐focused approach
