Details: Are you customer focused, comfortable corresponding by phone, SMS or email to resolve complex human resource and rostering issues? Would you like to work with a team that provides direct support to a front-line operational workforce which makes a difference to the lives of ACT residents? ACT Fire and Rescue (ACTF&R) is seeking a skilled Human Resource and Rostering Specialist to provide essential support in workforce management and coordination.
The successful applicant will play a key role in interpreting and validating daily operational rosters to ensure remuneration and benefits are accurately applied for ACTF&R employees. Working closely with Operational Management, this role supports a professional fire service and contributes to meeting the expectations of the ACT Community.
The ideal applicant will possess excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills and will be self-motivated, demonstrate professional resilience and be an effective team member. While the operational employees work 24/7, this role is day work, office hours only (with flex time or overtime if/when appropriate).

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* There are no mandatory compliance or qualification requirements for this position, however, experience in rostering using computer-based programs such as UKG Pro will be highly regarded.
* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
* Driver's licence Class C is essential.
* This position does not require a pre-employment medical
* This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
