AO6 Senior Executive Officer
$79.17 to $82.78 per hour + Super36.25 hours per week PAYGBrisbane locationImmediate start6‐month contract
Six Degrees is partnering with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit 2 x AO6 Senior Executive Officers for an immediate start. These positions support the delivery of urgent priorities within tight timeframes and are suited to experienced government professionals who can operate confidently in a fast‐paced executive environment.
As the Senior Executive Officer, you will:
* Prepare high‐level briefing notes, committee papers, and other executive documentation
* Coordinate meetings, papers, and presentations on behalf of senior leadership
* Provide high‐level executive support to assist decision‐making and priority delivery
* Support the coordination and delivery of internal projects and initiatives
* Liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders across a range of levels
* Manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
About you:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar AO6‐level role, ideally within Queensland Government
* Strong policy writing capability, including preparation of briefs, correspondence, and committee papers
* Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail
* Proven ability to provide high‐level executive support in a complex environment
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across multiple business areas
* Self‐motivated, dependable, and confident working independently
Highly regarded:
* Previous experience supporting senior executives within government
* Experience coordinating internal projects or strategic initiatives
* Availability to commence at short notice
