About the Role
Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you will provide support 3 people with disability living in shared housing in Rosebery getting out into their local community with active support.
The successful candidate will be experienced in supporting people who require personal care, manual handling and use of hoist transfers.
We are seeking applications from candidates for the below permanent part time roster only. To be considered, you must be able to commit to the set roster below:
- 71 hours per fortnight
- Week 1: Thu 4-8pm, Fri 6am – 2pm and Sun 3pm – 12am (midnight)
- Week 2: Mon 6am – 2pm, Tue, Wed & Thu 12am (midnight) – 10am (active night) and Sun 10am – 8pm
Key Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
- Maintain thorough record keeping
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
- Advocate for client choice and control
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with people with disability
- Previous experience providing personal care
- Manual handling and hoist transfer experience
- Passionate about providing active support
- An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to explicit probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
