Truck Driver – Spray Foam Installation Team

As you might have heard from our ads in the media, Alexander Watson is Canberra's leading specialist in blow in insulation, Batts and Canberra's ONLY supplier of spray foam insulation engineered to suit Canberra's Hot-in-Summer, Cold-in-Winter climate extremes. We are currently growing very quickly and need to find more good people to join our great team.
Position reports to: Our Team Leader is looking for a new team member to help get themselves and their equipment to and from our client sites. You will work with a small team (typically 2-3 team members) to help install Spray Foam Insulation products for our clients.
The Role:
This is a key role within the team that install the Spray Foam Insulation product for Alexander Watson. The Truck Driver ensures that the team and its equipment get safely and on time to each of our client sites every day. As well as driving and maintaining the specialist equipment, the Truck Driver role also provides hands on, onsite assistance. The type of work that we do means that you are rarely in the one place for too long, and you get to work with a small team to deliver great results for our clients – and help the
environment too.
As a bonus (aside from driving our trucks and working with a great team), we can provide you with training (on and off the job) to build up your skills in working insulation installation – with a possibility that you could move into an applicator's role in the future if you have an interest and build up the skill set needed for this type of work.
What do you need to get started as a Truck Driver for our Spray Foam Insulation Team?
This is a team member role.
To be a great fit for the role, you will need the following:
• a 'safety first' approach to how you do your work and how you look out for others in the
team, including a work history that demonstrates that you are great at this
• a proven ability to maintain and operate at least a medium rigid size truck along with a
current license for this type of a rig.
• a strong work ethic that is shown in the way you approach your work, and an ability to
encourage others to be the same when working within the team.
• a demonstrated ability to interact well with clients
• an attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality services to our clients
• a current White Card, asbestos awareness, asbestos exposure, Silicia awareness and a current medium/heavy rigid license, and your own transport to get to and from our depot for work.
• an interest in learning how to Spray Foam Insulation installation process works is desirable.
