About US

PTM Pilbara Traffic Management has been delivering critical traffic management and rail safeworking services across the Pilbara for over a decade. Supporting major mining, civil and infrastructure projects, we play a key role in keeping WA's essential industries moving safely and efficiently.

About the Role

This is a critical leadership position within our Operations team, responsible for balancing client requirements, workforce availability and operational priorities to deliver exceptional service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead workforce planning activities to ensure personnel are effectively allocated across projects, balancing operational requirements, workforce utilisation and client expectations.
* Lead, mentor and support the Scheduling team, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance while identifying opportunities for development and growth.
* Oversee the preparation and management of rosters, mobilisation plans and personnel movements, ensuring accurate and efficient deployment of resources.
* Build strong relationships with internal leaders, clients and field personnel to understand requirements, anticipate challenges and ensure service delivery expectations are consistently met.
* Monitor workforce trends, project demands and upcoming requirements to proactively identify resource gaps, recruitment needs and mobilisation priorities.
* Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency, workforce utilisation and mobilisation processes through data‐driven decision making and system optimisation.
* Maintain accurate workforce data, monitor compliance requirements and provide meaningful reporting and workforce insights to support operational decision making.
* Provide leadership during operational disruptions, workforce shortages and last‐minute changes, making informed decisions to minimise impacts on service delivery.

About You

You are an experienced scheduling or workforce planning professional who enjoys leading people, solving complex operational challenges and driving continuous improvement.

With your strong commercial and operational mindset, you will balance client expectations with workforce capability.

You will bring:

* Proven experience in workforce scheduling, mobilisation, logistics coordination or resource planning within mining, civil, construction, traffic management or a similar operational environment.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring or managing team members.
* Experience coordinating FIFO and remote workforce logistics across multiple projects and locations.
* Strong workforce planning, forecasting and resource management capabilities.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the business.
* The ability to make sound decisions in a fast‐paced operational environment.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Experience using workforce management systems such as Assignar or similar platforms.
* A high level of organisation, attention to detail and accountability.
* Previous exposure to traffic management or related industries (advantageous but not essential).
