Role Overview: After winning a new and exciting contract our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HSE Advisor to join the team. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in these critical activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
* Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols during blasting and painting operations.
* Provide guidance and support to staff on HSE matters, including conducting safety briefings and training sessions.
* Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and best practices.
* Collaborate with project managers and teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
* Assist in the preparation of HSE reports and documentation for stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Cert IV, Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the maritime or industrial sectors.
* Familiarity with safety regulations and standards.
* Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk assessment, and accident investigation techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.
