TQA Consulting is seeking a Junior UX Analyst for a 6-month full-time contract in Darwin, NT. Candidates must be based in Darwin or willing to relocate and have lived in Australia for the past 5 years.

About The Role
In this role, you will support the design and delivery of user-centred digital products and services across DPS projects, working under the guidance of senior UX practitioners within multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to user research, analysis and design activities, translating user needs and research findings into practical UX artefacts that support evidence-based decision-making and ensure solutions align with accessibility, privacy, and relevant government and international standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven experience working on digital projects or digital service delivery.
* Demonstrated capability in information architecture and content design.
* Ability to analyse both qualitative and quantitative data, and translate findings into clear insights, with strong documentation to ensure traceability of decisions.
* Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong critical thinking skills with attention to detail and evidence-based decision making.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing positively to shared outcomes.
* Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, documentation, and competing priorities under tight deadlines.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and cultures.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience working in government or complex service delivery environments.
* Experience with UX prototyping tools (e.g. Figma or similar) and supporting usability testing to improve customer experience.
* Understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles, including awareness of WCAG requirements.
* Familiarity with digital delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint, as well as an interest in AI and emerging technologies.
