As one of Australia's largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant in East Bundy. We are more than just a company, we are a vital part of the industry and community in Bundaberg, Queensland.
We are looking for a Fitter and Turner to join our proactive maintenance team. If you have a strong background in manufacturing or the sugar industry and are capable of working in a fast-paced operational environment, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Fitter & Turner, you will possess the skills necessary to carry out maintenance to meet targets, goals and objectives. This role is primarily day work, 7 am-3.30 pm, however, given the nature of the role, shift work may be required. The successful applicants will be required to:
* Carry out mill plant maintenance and capital works, plant items include mills, boilers, turbines, fugals, conveyors, carriers, pumps, fans, gearboxes, motors, vessels, pressure vessels and valves.
* Undertake advanced fitting tasks, including welding and hydraulics.
* Operate within a Computerised Maintenance Management System for all work undertaken.
* Actively supporting Workplace Health and Safety initiatives.
Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, steam turbine and repair maintenance is essential.
