As Digital Media Officer, you'll help bring the Shire's Communication and Engagement Strategy to life by monitoring and managing social media channels, keeping our digital platforms up to date, and supporting community updates and engagement activities across the organisation.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in the implementation of the Shire's Communication and Engagement Strategy.
Draft, schedule, and publish engaging digital content (including text, images, graphics, video, and campaigns).
Support the delivery of community updates and information initiatives for projects and services.
This is a 12-month fixed-term, part-time position working 22.8 hours (3 days) per week.
About you In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have: Qualifications in communications, marketing, digital media (or similar), or hands on experience that gives you the skills to succeed in this role Confident using digital tools, from design software (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) to website content management systems and email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp).
Demonstrated experience running public or business social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube).
Benefits Salary: $37.25 - $38.64 per hour, dependant on relevant qualifications and experience.
Permanent staff are entitled to: 5 weeks annual leave per year The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
