Our Lady of Mercy College Australind is a Catholic Co-educational Secondary College established in 2020 to serve the communities of Harvey, Brunswick, Collie, Leschenault, Australind and surrounding regions.
The College offers a supportive and enriching educational environment for students in Years 7-12, based on the Mercy Values. As well as the traditional learning areas, the College offers an extensive curriculum and continues to investigate future opportunities in a variety of Learning Areas to meet the demands of a growing College. Through a focus on global competencies, Our Lady of Mercy College equips our students with the skills and knowledge needed to address real-world issues for the next stages of their lives.

To meet the demands of our growing community, the College now seeks to appoint and expand its Executive Leadership team to include these newly created positions of:
DEPUTY PRINCIPAL – Middle School
DEPUTY PRINCIPAL – Senior School
Fixed-term contracts – Full-time, commencing 1 January 2026
The Deputy Principal of Middle School and the Deputy Principal of Senior School will be key members of the College Executive Team, working in close collaboration with the Principal, Vice Principal and Finance Manager to provide leadership to the College. The Deputy Principals must be able to lead and communicate effectively, promote excellence and manage the pastoral and academic needs of students.
The successful applicants will be passionate, innovative and experienced educational leaders who work collaboratively with the College Executive Team, staff, parents and the wider community to establish the best possible educational outcomes for our students.
They must do so within the context of excellence and the contemporary learner, keeping in mind the vision of what it means to be a Catholic school in the Mercy tradition and to constantly seek improvement. The Deputy Principals must also understand the implications of working within the broader framework and requirements of Catholic Education in Western Australia and the Mandate of our Bishops.
The Deputy Principals should be excellent communicators and be able to facilitate a collaborative and positive working relationship with and between staff. They must also be able to lead proactively in enabling the shared vision and strategic direction of the College, in cooperation with the Principal, Vice Principal and Executive Team.
In addition to the senior leadership responsibilities and administrative tasks, the Deputy Principals are expected to maintain an active teaching role within Religious Education, ensuring strong alignment with the College's mission and values.
