Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located at Sunshine Coast, QLD. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating high-quality dishes. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory and food costs, and contributing to menu planning and development. The Sous Chef will play a key role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Qualifications
* Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
* Experience in kitchen management, including supervising staff and maintaining workflow
* Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
* Knowledge of inventory control, ordering, and cost management
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Team leadership abilities and effective communication skills
* Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience in a similar role
* Passion for delivering high-quality food and a positive dining experience
* Flexibility to work on weekends, public holidays, and evenings as required
