House Officer (Part-time)

Corrective Services Academy

Salary: General Service Officer Grade 1-3: $942.40 - $1,056.00* per week (pro rata for part-time) + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading

Hourly rate: $24.02 starting rate + 15% loading for evening shifts and 10% loading for day shift

Position Type: Ongoing Part-Time, 16 hours per week, 4 shifts/week, Monday -Thursday 3pm – 7pm

Temporary Part-Time (up to 2 years) 8 hours per week, 1 shift/week, Fridays 6am – 2pm

Location: Corrective Services Academy, Eastwood

Your role

The CSNSW Academy is seeking a motivated person who is willing to work positively as part of a team to provide excellent customer service, hospitality skills, function/event service delivery, various duties and tasks in food preparation areas. The house officer role also includes general services to accommodation areas used by participants temporarily residing at the Academy. Opportunities may arise for additional hours in this role on an ad hoc basis.

Corrective Services NSW Academy (CSNSW Academy) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) providing correctional training to national standards. The Academy provides high quality training and assessment to support the learning and development of staff within CSNSW and other jurisdictions.

The successful applicant will comply with work health and safety guidelines and procedures, will have flexibility to meet changing and sometimes demanding schedules while maintaining a high standard of service provision.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

* Strong customer service skills
* The ability to work independently and as a motivated member of a team
* Have a commitment to work with the team and provide feedback for improved services
* Deliver results within agreed schedules
* Food handling certificate or willingness to complete the certificate on commencement

Other Information

A Talent Pool may be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months. Priority will be given to filling the role at Eastwood.

* Base salary shown is the Full Time Equivalent (1.0 FTE) 38 hours per week, the base salary for this part-time position will be proportional to 24 hours per week
