Where you'll be working:
Hunter New England Oral Health has a long-standing partnership with Awabakal Aboriginal Medical Services to provide dental care to their community. The Awabakal Dental Clinic is on-site at the Awabakal Medical Service Hamilton location. The clinic is a 3-chair dental clinic that operates from 8:00 am to 4:40 pm.
The team includes Dentists, Oral Health Therapists and Dental Assistants who are well-equipped to provide oral health services to our community. Awabakal's purpose and our ongoing commitment is to continue to provide the best patient care possible to our community.
As an experienced Dental Assistant, you will provide a high level of clinical dentalassistance to Clinicians with a focus on customer service to ensure excellence in patientcare.

About you:
We are seeking a professional, compassionate individual with strong communication skills to build meaningful relationships with patients, carers, the team, and the Awabakal Medical Service. Your background in Dental Assisting, along with your commitment to delivering excellent patient care, will be central to your success in this role.
A current Dental Assistant Certificate (up to Certificate III, recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia) is preferred, though experienced but unqualified dental assistants will also be considered. This role also offers the opportunity to share cultural knowledge and expertise, contributing to best practice and culturally safe care within the clinic.
How you'll be supported:
Ongoing support will be provided by the Clinic Coordinator, and a comprehensiveorientation program will be provided by the Oral Health management team toensure your success and professional development in this position. You will be provided with an orientation programme to Hunter New England OralHealth, and you will be supported with regular training and education programmesthroughout your career.
