**About Our Facility**
Barwon Health is the largest health service in regional Victoria and based in Geelong, it is within commuting range from the west side of Melbourne. With approximately 7,000 employees, 22 sites and a broad range of services, Barwon Health plays a key role in the health and wellbeing of our local community and the Barwon South Western region.
Barwon Health Palliative Care provides palliative care nursing, medical, allied health, supportive care and volunteer services within a framework of integrated health service in the community, inpatient as well as an acute consultative service. The model of palliative care is based on the level of need and targets patients with complex care requirements.
**About the Role**
The aim of this position is to provide leadership and support to volunteer members of the Palliative Care Program. You will build upon the unique community ownership that the organisation and its key entities enjoy within the Geelong community and develop cutting-edge person centred programs, staffed by volunteers. You will also provide a resource to Palliative Care Team members and a referral agent for clients and carers.
