This is an opportunity to apply your scientific and technical expertise to support the administration of the Native Vegetation Act 1991 (SA) and Native Vegetation Regulations 2017 (SA), contributing to environmentally responsible decision‑making across the state. In this role, you will work with government and non‑government stakeholders to ensure the effective assessment, management and regulation of activities impacting native vegetation, helping to achieve sustainable environmental outcomes. As a Native Vegetation Officer, you will: Contribute to the administration of the Native Vegetation Act and Regulations, providing sound scientific and technical advice on the protection, management and conservation of native vegetation. Coordinate, manage and assess applications to clear native vegetation in accordance with legislative requirements. Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on the interpretation and application of native vegetation legislation. Assist in the delivery of compliance activities, including undertaking on-ground assessments as required. Support the Native Vegetation Council, assessment panel, and departmental groups by assessing native vegetation offset areas and evaluating compliance with legislative conditions.
