With a small, dedicated team, GPRA provides advocacy, support and resources to future GPs across Australia. Operating in a dynamic healthcare environment, GPRA is committed to transparency, accountability and delivering value to its members and stakeholders. The RoleGPRA is seeking a qualified Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis for approximately 12 weeks, with the possibility of the contract being extended. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is critical in managing the organisation’s financial and HR systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and delivering timely, accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and HR systems (via Xero)Prepare monthly and quarterly financial management reports, annual accounts for audit, and ensure compliance with ASIC, ACNC, ATO and other regulatory bodiesProvide financial and analytical support to the CEO and Board, including preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis and funding reportsMaintain and strengthen financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support effective and compliant financial operationsSupport the CEO with company secretary responsibilities and governance reporting as required Key Selection CriteriaCPA or CA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ post-degree accounting experienceDemonstrated expertise in Xero, with strong capability in financial reporting, budgeting and payroll administrationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly present financial information to non-financial stakeholdersHighly organised, proactive and professional, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering quality outcomesAbility to work independently within a small team, supporting an organisation with a national footprint How to ApplyIf you are an experienced Accountant looking to contribute your expertise in a meaningful sector while enjoying flexible work arrangements, please apply via link with your cover letter and resume.
