The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population.
The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.
In the role you will:
Liaise with Queensland Health executives and other Queensland Health staff, government bodies (ie.Police, Ambulance, Immigration, Councils) private organisations, union officials, HQCC and members of the public using discretion with sensitive and / or confidential matters and develop ongoing relationships.
Coordinate and assist with projects allocated to the Directors and relevant stakeholders.
This may include research and analysis of data, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project progress to project teams and Executive as required.
Manage and maintain accurate payroll, HR and Recruitment records of staff in alignment with Award structures.
Ensure the coordination and management of the Offices of the Director is undertaken in a proactive and flexible manner.
Prepare weekly rosters/timesheets for department staff (eg. Medical, nursing or allied health) incorporating leave requests and roster amendments to ensure all services are adequately covered whilst taking into account the requirements of the various relevant employment awards.
