This is a senior enterprise design and integration role, with accountability for shaping how the Investment team operates - not a delivery, policy or advisory position. You will work in close partnership with the Investment leadership team and Chief Investment Officer to ensure strategic intent is translated into implementable, enduring institutional capability. Success in this role is measured by the quality, velocity and resilience of investment decision making across the organisation.You will bring deep investment expertise, strong people leadership and the ability to exercise influence across organisational boundaries. The ICI team sits within the broader Investment group and plays a pivotal role in investment governance, operating model design, data and technology enablement, and strategy execution coherence.**What you'll do****Organisational leadership*** Contribute to an inclusive, dynamic and high performing culture aligned to the Future Fund's purpose and values.* Provide visible leadership, mentorship and guidance across the organisation, modelling the behaviours expected of senior leaders.* Act as an engaged Agency citizen, supporting enterprise initiatives and fostering collaboration across the Investment team.**Investment capability, governance and operating model*** Oversee and continuously evolve the end to end investment operating model, ensuring it remains robust, scalable and fit for purpose across asset classes and management structures.* Define and enforce investment process standards, decision rights, documentation and committee mechanics.* Act as an integrator for investment governance, partnering closely with Portfolio, Enterprise Risk, Legal, Audit and Technology teams to ensure clear accountability and effective controls.* Identify and remediate systemic weaknesses in investment governance, processes or decision making, intervening where design or incentives create avoidable risk or friction.* Exercise enterprise influence beyond direct reporting lines to deliver joined up outcomes for the total portfolio.**Investment data, technology and AI*** Act as a trusted adviser in aligning investment data and technology strategy with investor needs and portfolio requirements.* Provide strategic oversight of the investment AI portfolio, treating initiatives as a capital constrained investment portfolio — including prioritisation, sequencing, funding and benefits realisation.* Establish and enforce AI governance, including model risk, explainability, privacy, security and human in the loop controls.* Build AI capability as a durable institutional asset, embedding platforms, skills and adoption into business as usual frameworks.* Lead major transformation programs, managing transition from legacy arrangements and ensuring clean integration into enterprise operating models.**Strategy translation and execution*** Support the Investment Leadership team to translate investment strategy into clear, actionable priorities.* Lead execution coherence for the Investment team, setting priorities, tracking progress and ensuring decisions are implemented effectively.* Develop materials for the CIO, Managing Directors, Investment Committee and Board to inform enterprise level decisions.* Shape agendas and problem framing for senior forums, ensuring focus on the right decisions at the right time and altitude.***About You***You are a senior investment professional with a whole of portfolio perspective and the ability to operate as a system architect and integrator. You bring sound judgement, strong executive presence and a collaborative leadership style.**Qualifications*** A university degree in economics, commerce, finance or another relevant quantitative discipline is required.* Postgraduate qualifications or professional accreditation (e.g. MBA, CFA, actuarial or similar) are desirable.**Experience and capability*** Deep expertise in multi asset portfolio construction, macro risks and whole of portfolio management.* Proven experience operating portfolio governance frameworks, including investment committees and senior decision forums.* Strong capability in leveraging investment technology, data and best practice tools to support high quality investment decision making.* Demonstrated experience leading enterprise scale transformation programs involving multiple stakeholders and delivery risk.* A trusted partner to senior executives, with the ability to simplify complexity, reduce unnecessary friction and enable effective judgement.* Highly organised, with strong output discipline, collaboration skills and the ability to operate across ambiguity.***We Are For Everyone***At Future Fund, we are better for our differences.
