The Role
* Reporting to the National People Manager you will support a diverse business unit with operations across Tasmania (90%) and Queensland (10%).
* Embedded as part of the leadership team, the role supports both business unit outcomes and implementation of Hazell Bros Group initiatives.
* Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management and other workplace matters.
* Lead and support organisational design, workforce planning and change management.
* Assist key leaders with talent identification and development, succession planning and leadership capability.
* Promote employee engagement and enhance the employee lifecycle experience.
* Understand how internal and external trends and challenges affect our people and teams.
About You
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
* As an experienced professional you will likely have a minimum of 5 years working in a HR People Partner Role: operational white & blue collar environment would be advantageous.
* The team responds well to someone who is highly organised and self-motivated - must be outcomes focused, thinking strategically, hands on, and operational.
* The ability to work independently, partnering with key stakeholders and employees providing best-practice HR.
* Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, especially with ability to build trust quickly, influence outcomes, negotiate, persuade, and engage across a wide range of stakeholders.
* Solid understanding of IR/ER management including the application and interpretation of industrial instruments and legislation.
* Hazell Bros is a national business based in Tasmania. This role is ideally based in Hobart, but we would consider other Tasmanian locations for the right candidate.
