As an Eligibility Officer, you will work closely with your team and relevant stakeholders to investigate, strategise, track, follow-up and determine complex claims. You will provide proactive support relating to the assessment of claim liability and assist in achieving the best possible outcomes for these claims with adherence to KPI timeframes.
This will be a **permanent** position commencing immediately based in the **Adelaide** office, with flexibility to work from home.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Request information required to assist in the liability assessment process and follow up
- Proactively manage claim determinations for complex claims, ensuring clear documentation of actions throughout the determination process
- Provide accurate and complete information that is consistent and easy to understand (including options about any claim, entitlements, obligations & responsibilities)
- Adopt a service-orientated approach that is focused on the interests of workers and employers
- Liaise effectively with third parties, i.e. solicitors, IMEs and investigators
- Collaborate with case managers / claims specialists and other technical and support experts to manage a portfolio of claims
- Ensure the effective management of key legislative drivers in accordance with the Act
**ABOUT YOU**
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work within a service environment is desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Return To WorkAct2014 (SA) would be advantageous
- Experience using our claims management system, Curam, and our recordkeeping system HPE Content Manager (HPCM) would be highly appreciated but not essential
