Join the site team for an exciting large-scale hybrid Solar PV and BESS project in Queensland. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to deliver a high-quality renewable energy asset that plays a key part in Australia's energy transition.
INTEC is seeking an experienced
Lead Quality Engineer
to drive quality assurance and quality control across construction, testing, commissioning, and handover. You will ensure full compliance with contractual requirements, Australian Standards, and INTEC's quality systems, playing a critical role in the successful delivery of the project.
You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to embed a strong quality culture and deliver a compliant, defect-free renewable energy asset.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead QA/QC delivery on site, implementing project Quality Plans, ITPs and inspection processes across civil, mechanical, electrical, HV and BESS scopes.
* Oversee inspections, testing and commissioning activities, including FATs, SATs and site acceptance testing, ensuring full traceability and compliant documentation.
* Manage non-conformances and corrective actions, conducting root cause analysis and driving continuous improvement to prevent reoccurrence.
* Maintain quality documentation and reporting, using digital systems (e.g. Procore, SharePoint), and providing clear quality status updates to project leadership.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including construction teams, subcontractors, clients and regulators, to ensure quality expectations are clearly understood and achieved.
About You
* Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* 5+ years' experience in QA/QC or Quality Engineering roles on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, ideally solar, BESS or hybrid projects.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards, construction quality systems and inspection/testing regimes.
* Proven ability to manage ITPs, NCRs, audits and quality reporting in complex, fast-paced site environments.
* Detail-focused, proactive and confident communicator who can positively influence quality outcomes across diverse teams.
