Plan and deliver infection prevention and control education and support to primary health sites and services across the north east of Tasmania.

The Team:

As a member of the Infection Prevention and Control unit, you will be working amongst a small but dedicated team of clinical and administrative staff based at the Launceston General Hospital. As a team we value the safety of our patients, staff and community. We are committed to infection prevention through support, surveillance and evidence-based education.

The Role:

The role includes the planning and delivery of infection prevention and control education and support to primary health sites and services across the north east of Tasmania. If you love diversity, travel and getting out to meet new people then this role is for you.

You will need:

* To be passionate about infection prevention and control with relevant clinical experience, and a focus on improving patient safety and outcomes
* Passionate about supporting and educating colleagues, designing and implementing new programs to improve infection prevention and control practice
* Applicants will need to hold a current drivers licence

Details of appointment:

* Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 14 August 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:$118,297 to $124,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Holds a relevant qualification in an educational focused tertiary program.

Relevant infection prevention and control qualification, or working towards.

Current Driver's Licence.
