About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects for the Dragline Product Group in a manner that provides superior customer service through effective communication, technical competence, and on-time delivery performance, as well as identifying potential research and development projects for the benefit of the Dragline Group. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Managing manufacture of dragline components
* Initially manage smaller‐to‐medium projects, overtime take end‐to‐end ownership of large projects.
* Carry out basic engineering tasks (e.g., taking site measurements, preparing or reviewing drawings, assisting with technical documentation)
* Ensure adherence to Safe Work Practices, according to Hofmann Engineering's OH&S policies and the Occupational Health & Safety Act 1984.
* Ensure adherence to the Hofmann Engineering Quality Management system, and ensure that all projects under your control conform to Hofmann Engineering's Quality and Management Systems.
* Ensure adherence to the standards specified in the Quality Management Manual, Procedures and Work Instructions.
* To comply with the requirements of ISO9001 regarding contract review.
* Ensure compliance and awareness of environmental legislation.
* Maintaining a work environment that fosters innovative and analytical thought, as well as teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
* Identifying and developing research and development projects that will benefit the product group.
* Liaise with management and shop floor personnel on an equal and friendly basis to ensure open two-way communication.
* Maintain a professional and cordial relationship with clients and suppliers.
* Evaluating customer requirements and commit the company to delivery and price.
* Monitor and report project progress against plan including the progress against scope, schedule performance, quality, cost, earned value and estimates to ensure project is delivered to time, cost, safety and quality standards.

What do you bring?
* Experience in estimating, planning, material sourcing and managing the manufacture of large, low volume specialist components and equipment.
* Knowledge and experience of Enterprise Requirements Planning system will be highly regarded.
* Formal Engineering related qualification preferred.
* The ability to liaise effectively with customers, vendors and team members is essential.
