A Dispensary Assistant supports a team of Pharmacists and other dispensary staff with dispensing. This includes providing product information and preparing medications for our patients. A great Dispensary Assistant has strong problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication skills. They form strong connections, establish a sense of trust, and use their knowledge to improve the lives of our patients, and their families.
If you enjoy interacting with customers, have a keen eye for detail, good computer skills and enjoy keeping busy, then this may be the role for you
A Day in the Life of a Dispensary Assistant
• Providing exceptional customer experiences in the front of shop and dispense areas
• Ensure all customers are greeted and served with a smile
• Working in a Pharmacy with exposure to Dispensary functions
• Proficient use of dispensary software (FRED NXT)
• Providing efficient stock control in the Dispensary
• Coordinating claim processes (paperless)
• Assist with putting away front of shop stock in a timely and correct manner
• Ensuring front of shop stock is stored in appropriate areas
• Continually learning about new products and keeping up-to-date with in store promotions
About You
• 6 – 12 months of pharmacy experience with an interest to learn
• Ability to laugh and smile
• Be inspiring and maintain a positive attitude at all times
• Ability to fully engage with your customers as well your team members
• Retail Pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience working with cash registers
• Great communication skills and cheerful attitude
• Be an enthusiastic team player
• Have a great eye for presentation and detail
• Motivated and willing to work in the front of shop and approach customers
• Ability to multitask

The successful applicant will work with a supportive and friendly team. This is a permanent part-time position approx. 34 hours per fortnight, including weekends. Remuneration will be based on your experience and qualifications.
