Job Title: Release Manager
Job Description:
* Plan, schedule and control the build, testing and deployment of releases.
* Deliver business changes while protecting the integrity of existing production services.
* Ensure Bupa release standards and practices are followed.
* Schedule and coordinate the implementation of releases into production.
* Manage the pipeline of releases.
* Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
* Maintain a central repository for release artefacts and release calendar.
* Work closely with Change Management for Release and Deployment to ensure smooth operation of Release Planning activities.
* Raise changes, represent in TCAB and CAB to ensure changes are reviewed and approved.
* Communicate relevant release information timely and disseminate to stakeholders.
* Understand and manage cross dependencies within platform releases/cross platform releases to enable scheduling.
* Participate in all Release cutover activities including dress rehearsals.
* Craft an implementation plan and walkthrough of plan with all stakeholders including business.
* Lead and co-coordinate the Go-Live activities.
* Develop and maintain stakeholder escalation matrix for use during cutover.
* Escalate and arrive at decisions by engaging stakeholders during the cutover.
* Maintain and track post implementation issues with impact analysis and remediation follow-up.
* Manage risks maintaining Risk register with identified risks and mitigation plan.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in Release delivery for large organisations and managing complex releases.
* Experience in Agile, lean, DevOps, and other best practices.
* Experience working with multiple stakeholders including testing services, enterprise project services and delivery units.
* At least 10+ years of experience in IT delivery.
* Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level and/or extensive relevant experience as detailed above.
