Your Role: As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will effectively collaborate with regional teams to implement membership programs and initiatives statewide.
You will engage members, volunteers, and community stakeholders in social justice and advocacy efforts.
Your Responsibilities:
* Support regional conferences by working closely with regional directors and central council presidents to drive program implementation.
* Foster collaboration between members, volunteers, area coordinators, business partners, service delivery staff, and enabling functions staff to promote a unified approach.
* Engage with the local community through various events (including Sleepout, Anti-Poverty Week) to increase participation and awareness of our organization's work.
* Promote and participate in the implementation of social justice and advocacy initiatives, engaging with the local community and members as appropriate.
* Conduct community needs analysis to ensure a deep understanding of the current and future needs of the people we serve.
* Implement attraction, retention, and engagement initiatives aligned with the statewide membership engagement strategy.
Your Qualifications:
* Sound stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven communication and interpersonal skills across a range of mediums.
* Relevant tertiary qualification/s in human resources, human services, or related areas.
* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing engagement strategies for member-based organizations.
* Demonstrated experience implementing community engagement strategies for large organizations in metropolitan and regional areas.
