The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced sales leader who understands how to drive commercial growth in a manufacturing environment. This isn't just about hitting targets – it's about building sales strategies that work hand-in-hand with our production capabilities, ensuring every commitment we make is one we can deliver on.
As GM – Sales, you'll lead our national sales function across retail, hospitality, and wholesale channels. You'll work closely with our Operations, Production, and Supply Chain teams to align sales ambitions with manufacturing realities, turning operational insights into commercial opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading Multi-Channel Sales Growth
* Develop and execute sales strategies across retail, hospitality, and wholesale channels
* Drive sales into hotels and hospitality sector with a focus on long-term partnerships
* Identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends
Building and Leading Your Team
* Lead and develop a nationwide sales team to consistently achieve targets
* Build capability in manufacturing-led selling – ensuring your team understands how production timelines and capacity shape commercial decisions
* Recruit and coach high-performing sales professionals
Aligning Sales with Manufacturing
* Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure sales commitments are operationally viable
* Translate production constraints into clear commercial strategies
* Support demand planning by aligning forecasts with production schedules
* Contribute to cross-functional decisions that balance customer needs, efficiency, and profitability
Managing Performance and Budget
* Monitor sales performance across all channels and recommend improvements
* Manage the sales budget and resource allocation
* Report on results and provide insights to leadership
* Collaborate with Finance to ensure pricing and promotions align with margins and costs
What We're Looking For
* Proven senior sales leadership experience delivering growth across retail, hospitality, and wholesale in a manufacturing or production-led environment
* Strong commercial understanding of manufacturing operations – production planning, lead times, capacity management, and cost drivers
* Track record of aligning sales strategy with operational capability in complex environments
* Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
* Strong analytical skills and ability to spot trends and opportunities
* Experience with CRM software and digital sales tools
* Flexibility to travel as required
* Previous experience and established contacts within the hotel industry (highly desirable)
