Role Responsibilities
This is a critical, highly practical role that blends IT asset management with physical logistics. You will be instrumental in preparing operational areas across the precinct to ensure all IT assets are accounted for, organised, and correctly staged for a smooth event delivery.
* Hardware Logistics: Physically move, consolidate, and relocate IT hardware (desktops, monitors, printers, networking gear) from offices and operational areas into designated storage.
* Asset Management and Auditing: Systematically verify and record all precinct hardware to ensure assets are correctly tagged and accurately documented in the master asset register.
* Storage Preparation: Organise and prepare storerooms to an 'event-ready' standard: clean, clearly labelled, tidy, and auditable.
* Readiness Support: Assist the broader casual workforce with various general event readiness tasks, including non-IT related equipment and furniture setup.
* Operational Support: Provide light operational support during the event, including basic troubleshooting and managing AV/TV input/output changes as directed.
* Bump-Out: Efficiently assist with the packing, consolidation, and transfer of hardware and assets post-event.
Skills & Experience Required
* A recent graduate or entry-level professional in Information Technology, Logistics, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
* Physically capable and fit to safely handle and move IT equipment and logistics materials on a daily basis.
* Exceptional attention to detail is mandatory for accurate inventory, asset-tagging, and record-keeping.
* Proficiency with basic asset management tools or spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel or similar) for data auditing and entry.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to follow strict daily task lists from a ticketing board.
* A reliable, positive, and flexible attitude to work changing hours, including weekends, during the peak event window.
* Mandatory Eligibility: You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this role.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical IT logistics and asset management experience in a high-profile, fast-paced event environment.
