We currently have an opportunity available for capable and experienced plant operators for work with a road maintenance team based from Dubbo. This role will involve regular travel across western and northern NSW regions including overnight stays. Work outside of normal working hours may also be required.
Commencing ASAP, this role will involve working full time hours for a period of 6 months, with potential to extend for good quality workers.
An attractive hourly pay rate is being offered as well as penalty rates and allowances for additional hours and work related travel.
Applicants should hold tickets/VOC for earthworks plant operations and a current white card. Previous experience in road works or civil operations will be preferred.
Traffic control ticket would also be a distinct advantage of these roles.
Note: whilst plant operating will be the primary focus of these roles, applicants must also be willing to undertake manual labouring tasks when required.
Successful Applicants will need;
* Current WHS White Card
* Worker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain prior to start of work (online link able to be provided for successful applicant)
* Driver licence - with MR licence or above an advantage, but not essential
* Plant operating experience - various machines: rollers, loaders, excavator, skid steer, grader etc.
* Traffic control ticket - preferred
* good all round fitness for manual work tasks
* previous experience with road maintenance or civil construction will be highly regarded
