Job Title: Child Protection Specialist
Job Description:
This is a challenging role that requires individuals to work in a multidisciplinary service model. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing safety and risk concerns for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake assessments to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people.
* Engage in collaborative practice that acknowledges the culture and context of each child, young person, and their carers/family.
* Source timely information and make evidence-based decisions in line with the child/young person's safety, welfare, and wellbeing.
* Model ethical casework that is responsive to the changing needs of children, young people, and families.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory child protection services or within investigation services.
* Completed or in the final semester of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, along with practical experience.
* Other related degrees are considered if you can demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families.
* Ability to build positive working relationships and communicate effectively.
* A valid driver's licence and paid working with children clearance number.
