Donaldson serves customers in the industrial and engine markets, including dust collection, power generation, specialty filtration, compressed air purification, off-road equipment, industrial compressors, heavy trucks and light vehicles.

We are looking for an experienced and capable Planner to join our supply chain team. This is a full-time role based on the Central Coast of NSW. Reporting into the Supervisor Planning, your responsibilities will include:

* Analysing production specifications, requirements and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and labour resource requirements.
* Weekly reporting and meeting on master production plan and capacity plan with key stakeholders.
* Reviews, analyses, releases and schedules work orders for the manufacturing plant as per ERP system and customer demand.
* Developing the master production schedule for goods production, establishes efficient sequence and lead time of each operation to meet required dates.
* Ensure stocking levels of manufactured finished goods are maintained according to minimum stocking requirement, forecast and customer orders.
* Coordinate the requirements for sub-assemblies to ensure these items are supplied in a time frame supportive of efficient element manufacture.
* Control the release of work orders and the closure on completion of the build.
* Monitors the stock levels of critical raw materials to ensure these items do not deplete and hinder manufacturing processes. This requires close communication with the Buyers.
* Expedites materials that may delay schedules, alters the schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
* Negotiates and communicates changes of priority and dates with customer service.
* Supports stock takes where necessary on key raw materials.
* Prepares weekly scorecards for results and status.
* Prepares month end production reports related to product built and waste materials e.g. manufacturing materials waste, production output and efficiency, in order to analyse and correct inefficient manufacturing processes.
* Participates in monthly sales & operations process.
* Provide coverage support throughout supply chain department including but not limited to planning, buying and procurement.
* Identify, propose and lead process improvement initiatives within the ERP/MRP environment to eliminate planning bottlenecks, reduce material waste, and enhance overall production efficiency.
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate production priorities with Customer Service and Sales Management during periods of high demand or capacity constraints.

Ideally, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

* Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a similar/relative role with demonstrable skills and knowledge in MRP System Operating in an ERP Environment. Interpretation in planning/scheduling to Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Capacity Planning Experience.
* Business qualifications – degree or diploma; APICS qualification highly regarded.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
* Proficient in Excel.
* High attention to detail.
* Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
* Enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated, with good time management.
* Working Knowledge of an ERP System.
* Possesses excellent complex problem solving and decision-making abilities.
