About This Opportunity
Ready to make an impact behind the scenes? We’re looking for a proactive and organised Fleet Administration Officer to join our team.
In this varied role, you’ll coordinate fleet services across UQ, provide high-quality customer support, manage key systems, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
UQ manages one of the largest electric vehicle fleets across Australian universities and councils, placing sustainability and innovation at the core of what we do. You’ll work in a tech-forward environment using integrated telematics and smart fleet systems to leverage real-time data, improve performance and safety, and drive continuous improvement across the fleet.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the first point of contact for fleet and transport enquiries, interpreting policies and procedures.
* Coordinating vehicle bookings, servicing and records through fleet management systems.
* Supporting procurement, onboarding and disposal of fleet vehicles, including documentation and approvals.
* Maintaining accurate registers and reports to support compliance, audits and operational insights.

About You
You’re a proactive, highly organised professional who thrives in autonomous roles and takes ownership of delivering high-quality outcomes. Ideally with experience in automotive, fleet or logistics environments, you’re comfortable working at pace and enjoy contributing to efficient, well-run operations.
You will bring:
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* A confident, customer-focused communication style, providing clear and professional advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Strong digital capability, with experience using administrative systems, databases and reporting tools, and a keen eye for detail.
* A self-driven mindset, able to work independently while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent practical experience in automotive, fleet, logistics or operational settings.
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks, and a clean driver’s licence.
