WHO YOU ARE
You are an experienced contracts professional with a strong background in construction and commercial project delivery. You understand how to manage procurement, assess risk, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
* Bachelor’s or postgraduate qualification in Law, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior contracts management role within the construction industry
* Strong working knowledge of head and subcontract agreements, construction law, and procurement processes
* Skilled in managing contract negotiations, claims, variations, and dispute resolution
* Experience with contract compliance, financial controls, and reporting
* Capable of reviewing scope documentation and overseeing the tendering process
* Proficient in Jobpac, Microsoft Office, and construction management tools
* Well-organised, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee contract administration and procurement activities, ensuring commercial and contractual obligations are met and risks are effectively managed.
* Manage the full contract lifecycle from tender to execution and finalisation
* Lead contract negotiations, administration of claims, variations, and final accounts
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and timelines
* Coordinate tender documentation preparation, evaluation, and award of subcontract packages
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks, resolving contractual issues as they arise
* Maintain accurate contract records and support financial reporting and audits
* Work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and legal advisors
* Provide leadership and support to Contracts Administrators and other team members
* Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders
