Your Impact in This Role
The Support Trainer reports directly to our centre Team Leader and provides support and guidance to the team throughout the day. The position is supported by a broad range of talented team members, such as Service Coordinators and external specialists working towards one common goal to support people with disability to thrive and learn
What can I expect in a typical day working as a Support Trainer?
Responsibilities include:
* Group support and 1 to 1 care in our learning programs and community outings
* Actively participate and engage in our activities to ensure the development of trainee goals are met
* Enhance the skills and knowledge of our trainees by modelling behaviour that provides them an opportunity to learn and explore new opportunities for growth
* Work in a positive manner, encompassing our values and philosophy for meaningful outcomes
* Complete and record progress notes in CareMaster
* Follow care plans in line with Trainee goals to enhance their experience within our learning programs
* Ensure correct incident procedures are followed
* Develop and design meaningful learning outcomes for our trainees

Position Requirements
* Minimum 12 Months experience within the Disability Sector (Desirable)
* Familiar working with complex behaviours and disorders
* Flexibility to travel across our various locations
* Australian Working rights
* Full maintained Vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
* NDIS Workers Clearance Check
* Working with Children Check (Blue card)
* Cert III or Cert IV in individual support or equivalent
