Business Grants Hub Division (BGH)
The Business Grants Hub Division (BGH) manages the design and delivery of grant programs on behalf of 11 Commonwealth agencies, including our own department, overseeing over $7b in government investment in Australian businesses.

We deliver end-to-end grant delivery services through a national network. Our grant delivery service is underpinned by strong enabling functions including management of grant assurance and compliance activities, data and technology, workforce planning as well as delivery of continuous improvement projects.
About the Role
As a manager you will report directly to a BGH General Manager and work with a high level of autonomy under broad direction. You will lead and motivate a team, working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external parties to deliver funding programs and services to achieve policy outcomes.
* You will implement the government's strategic policy agenda and contribute to the development of improved policy making, innovative program design and management, and grants management.
* You will provide high-level analysis of issues and make a significant contribution to the development of strategic policy initiatives and program implementation.
* You will promote and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including cross-agency stakeholders, community groups, business sponsors and service providers.
* You will lead and direct negotiations and dispute resolution regarding very complex and/or sensitive customer service issues, and manage highly complex and sensitive customer relationships, including the management of customer expectations.
* You will contribute to the strategic direction of your branch, lead branch change initiatives and provide strategic direction and guidance to your team and others.
* You will manage the departmental and administered budget effectively.
* You will develop and manage your staff so they have a shared sense of purpose and can successfully contribute to outcomes of your branch and the division and ongoing improvements.
* You will build and maintain a thriving team culture.
Eligibility
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
What We Offer

However, you may need to be able to get to one of our State office locations in Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney to attend to IT matters, face-to-face training opportunities, and where required for ongoing team, branch and Executive-level planning and development opportunities.
