Type: Permanent, Part-time (minimum 64 hours per fortnight) or up to full-time (80 hours per fortnight)

The Spinal Service
Alfred Health’s non-traumatic spinal cord service is a specialized statewide interdisciplinary team providing care for adults with non-traumatic spinal cord damage at Caulfield Hospital, comprising allied health, medical, and nursing professionals.
Position Summary
The Nurse Educator (NE) is a leadership role within nursing and education, exemplifying and promoting excellence in practice. The NE supports clinical nurses to achieve optimal patient care outcomes, acts as a professional role model, and responds to developmental needs by collaborating with stakeholders to implement educational programs. The Spinal Nurse Educator will provide clinical guidance across acute, subacute, and community settings, leading curriculum development and implementation.
Skills and Qualifications
Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
Postgraduate certificate in education or working towards a Master of Nursing or Education
Experience in an education support role
Extensive clinical knowledge in spinal or rehabilitation nursing, or clinical leadership in rehabilitation
Understanding of nursing scope of practice, supervision, and delegation
