Position Overview
Working closely with the Finance Team Leader and as part of the finance team, the Management Accountant is responsible for preparing accurate and timely monthly financial management accounts and project reporting across multiple divisions. This role must ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls whilst supporting continuous improvement efforts, as well as contributing to the company’s overall financial integrity and operational success.
What You’ll Do
- Manage project and management accounting activities across multiple divisions.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to complete monthly forecasts and profit take-ups.
- Provide divisional managers with insights into forecasting and profit outcomes.
- Conduct variance analysis and full profit & loss reviews including monthly account reconciliations.
- Support year-end audits with documentation and explanations.
- Train and support divisional staff and assistant accountants.
About you
The successful candidate must have formal accounting qualifications and/or have solid experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in project and management accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Willingness to be hands-on and involved in all aspects of the business.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and reporting frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable — especially if you’ve worked with Pronto
