A strong Government Department is looking for a competent and focused Estimator. They are looking for someone who has enough experience to come in and hit the ground running.
Your Opportunity:
Are you an experienced Estimator looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Cairns for a 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. Experience in the building and construction industry is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare high-quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
* Use estimating software to produce consistent and accurate client quotations.
* Assess and prepare precise estimates, quotations, and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs.
* Contribute to the research and development of best practices in estimating, costing, and contract administration.
* Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to enhance service delivery and achieve cost efficiencies.
About You
* Proven experience in an Estimator role, preferably within the building/construction industry.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate cost estimates and quotations.
* Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
