**Employment opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced leaders to deliver influential and positive policy contributions to the Governments legal agenda for the good of the Australian people.

The department performs a vast range of functions and we are looking for high-performing leaders in the following areas:

- Justice and Communities Group is responsible for key aspects of Australia's justice system, including the federal courts, tribunals and the family law system.
- Integrity and International Group has legislative and policy responsibility for administrative law, information law, anti-corruption and fraud, human rights, modern slavery and human trafficking.
- National Security and Criminal Justice Group is responsible for a range of national security and criminal justice laws and policies, including transnational serious and organised crime, cybercrime, cross-border data access, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism, counter-espionage and foreign interference, electronic surveillance and law enforcement and criminal intelligence powers.
- Enabling Services Group supports the departments corporate and organisational operations, including strategy and governance, human resources, corporate services, and information and communications technology.

- Leads with commitment - Take responsibility for shaping team culture, sets clear performance expectations, and provides timely, constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with purpose - Improve productivity by working with others to reduce duplication and bring together diverse expertise where appropriate.
- Be Accountable for quality outcomes - Take responsibility for timely delivery of individual and team outcomes.

Certain positions require formal legal qualifications. For these positions, applicants must hold a degree in law from an Australian tertiary institution or comparable overseas qualification, which, in the opinion of the Secretary, is appropriate to the duties of the office, or admission in Australia as a legal practitioner.
