**About The Opportunity**:
You will be based in either Newcastle or the Central Coast and will earn up to $55 per hour.
The primary purpose of this position is to efficiently and effectively test, service, repair and upgrade the fire alarm systems at buildings.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Inspection and testing of other fire equipment
- Maintain good working knowledge of codes and regulations pertaining to fire equipment
- Attend training, office, Toolbox Meetings, client council & other meetings when required
- Ensure Uptick is completed fully for accurate recording and invoicing
- Be available to respond to after-hours calls - in line with the company roster
**About You**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
- Electrical license holder (preferred)
- Proven experience with fire alarm system testing, fault finding, programming, repairs, upgrades and emergency lighting testing and repairs
- Must be prepared to inspect/test all fire safety measures as and when required
- Must be competent, reliable and a self-starter who uses initiative
- Amenable to work in the Hunter Valley and Central Coast areas
