About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's aged care facility located in Romsey, VIC.
Shift Schedule
* Multiple morning and afternoon shift across Monday to Sunday.
* Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.
* The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one.
Skills and experience
* Reliable and punctual
* Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines
* Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
* The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
* Well-presented and good customer service skills.
* Access to own reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing meal service to aged care residents.
* Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up
* Adhering to and completing food safety/quality assurance documents
* Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
* Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
* Function set up and clear down
* Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks
* Food and beverage service
