Disability Support Worker Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
* Implementing individualized care plans and monitoring progress towards goals
* Supporting clients to engage in social and recreational activities within the community
* Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the holistic well-being of clients
Key Requirements
* Previous experience in disability support or a related field is preferred but not essential
* Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Aged Care, or Community Services (or willingness to obtain)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and overnight shifts
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Valid driver's license
* NDIS workers screen or willing to obtain
* Clean criminal record
* Manual handling certificate or willing to obtain
