This is a pivotal leadership role that combines governance expertise with commercial insight and consulting acumen. Based in Sydney and reporting directly to our CEO, you will work nationally with boards across sectors to deliver high-impact governance outcomes. About the Role This senior leadership role will see you: Lead : Manage a high-performing team of governance consultants and contribute as a member of our Leadership Team. Advise : Deliver sophisticated, end-to-end corporate governance advice to boards and executive teams across diverse industries. Grow : Drive business development and actively expand our client base through trusted relationships. Deliver : Oversee and contribute to projects including board evaluations, skills assessments, governance reviews, and director remuneration advice. Shape : Play a key role in refining our methodologies and service offerings. Represent : Facilitate board workshops, attend events, and be a trusted voice for governance excellence. This role requires travel within Australia, regular engagement with Brisbane-based colleagues, and participation in after-hours events and professional development. About You You are a confident, commercially minded governance professional with: Extensive experience : 10 years in governance-related roles such as legal, risk, compliance or company secretarial, including 5 years as a consultant. Sharp communication skills : You’re at ease engaging board directors, C-suite executives and business leaders. High standards : Your work is client-ready, analytically sound and always polished. Leadership credentials : You know how to lead a team, manage performance and mentor others. Business development mindset : You understand how to grow a practice through relationships and reputation. Tertiary qualifications : In law, commerce, business or a related discipline. Emotional intelligence and integrity : You know when to listen, how to influence, and the importance of confidentiality.
